Truth Isn’t the Enemy  -  It’s the Deliverance

“Truth doesn’t destroy; it delivers. It doesn’t condemn; it confronts.” - Diary of a Troubled Preacher

For years, I feared truth because I confused it with punishment. I thought exposure meant rejection. But God showed me that truth is not the weapon of shame  -  it’s the scalpel of healing. When He confronts you, it’s not to crush you; it’s to cut away what’s killing you.

In that therapist’s office, I realized that truth was never my enemy. It was the voice of mercy calling me out of denial. Every lie I told myself was a wall between me and freedom. When those walls fell, I didn’t lose my identity  -  I found it.

Truth revealed the difference between conviction and condemnation. Condemnation says, “You’re finished.” Conviction says, “You’re fixable.” That revelation changed how I saw God, myself, and ministry. I stopped running from exposure and started running toward deliverance.

Reflection for Readers

Where have you mistaken conviction for condemnation? Ask God to show you the difference. One leads to guilt; the other leads to grace.

Closing Thought

Truth isn’t your enemy. It’s the doorway to freedom. When you stop hiding, healing begins.
